Our beautiful architect designed rooms and gardens are creatively imagined learning environments
to give the very best for the ages of the children in our care.
And come rain or shine we provide daily woodland outdoors adventures for all our children just a short walk away at the Arboretum.
Wrens Room
Wrens room is fresh, and bright, and as cosy and as warm as a home, brimful of important developmental resources, encouraging the desire for discovery of our tiniest members. Toaves have their very own Baby Garden.
Robins Room
Robins room is a light, spacious and wonderful room enabling learning, exploration and growing independence. Banders have their very own Toddlers Garden.
House Martins Room
House Martins room is both a beautifully curated indoor classroom catering for accelerated learning ready for school, and also the huge outdoor classroom of the Arboretum, which has 2 homely heated yurts - Cosy Yurt and School Readiness Yurt.
What We Offer
Orchidale Children's Nursery is an excellent day nursery in the pretty village of Taverham, just 15 minutes from Norwich, with places for children from the age of 2 months to 5 years. We can ensure your child’s days with us are fun-filled and full of activities that encourage both learning and friendships. At Orchidale, we promote healthy living – our children have a nutritious, home-cooked meal every day; we also place huge emphasis on exercise and the great outdoors – our large green garden has superb outdoor learning facilities, which the children can’t wait to explore!

We are always increasing our fun for children and have now added to our great outdoor spaces for Forest School. We are lucky to have our beautiful Shepherds Huts and also our Yurt to explore as part of our outdoor space. We also have our very own rabbits and bantams- which children learn to take care of , in addition to this we have a beautiful aquarium in our 0-2 room with bright colourful fish - perfect with a calming sensory experience.

​We also have 2 brand new Minibuses and in addition to our Woodland Club plan several weekly adventures to explore the local area in small groups . We love to visit the local farm shops to buy seasonal goods and to try new produce, our local shops for ingredients for Cooking club , local charity shops - to find treasures to explore and curiosities, the vets and pet shop to get supplies for our nursery pets. Redwings Horse sanctuary, the recycling centre, local parks and woodlands and have links with a local care home as well.
