Children at Orchidale love Beach School adventures along the Norfolk coast . These adventures are all about discovery, imagination, exploration and learning through play. The fresh sea air, incredible natural environment, and the children's excitement make it a truly special experience. Each visit to Cromer, West Runton, or Great Yarmouth is filled with beautiful discoveries and learning moments that spark curiosity and wonder.
Why is Beach School so special and so beneficial?
It ignites natural discovery, child led learning, active play and even language growth. Children develop knowledge of science, technology engineering and maths through curiosity, engage in joyful experiences and gain emotional well being. At Orchidale’s Beach School children build impressive towers with pebbles, dig in the sand, learn to describe their discoveries and share thoughts. They observe boats in the sea and even get to paddle their feet. Time at the Beach School brings so much joy and captivity, children’s sustained interest enabling real life learning.
When the weather is warmer we enjoy dipping our toes in the sea.

We hunt for treasures in the rocks and sand. We find seaweed and shells!

We use all our senses to explore the seaside. We watch the waves, listen to the seagulls and smell the fresh sea air.
