Learning Experiences at Orchidale Children's Nursery
Orchidale’s magical single storey rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, light and airy. Our experienced interior design team have equipped our nursery with the highest quality purpose built Community Play furniture. Our nursery rooms are extensively resourced with age appropriate learning and play toys. For Orchidale children and parents every interest and desire is catered for!
Philosophy
Our nursery is a place where children’s ideas, discoveries, and efforts are genuinely valued. We’ve created a warm, thoughtfully designed environment that nurtures emotional well‑being, encourages togetherness, and helps friendships flourish.
Our nursery garden is a vibrant, expansive space that opens into our magical Forest School area at the Norfolk Showground — a place where the wonders of the natural world are waiting to be explored. Here, children breathe fresh rural air, develop a shared sense of joy, and build a deep connection with nature.
Our much‑loved vegetable patch gives children the chance to grow, tend, and harvest their own produce and even taste the results of their hard work.
Inside, our open‑plan, light‑filled nursery offers a warm, homely environment where children are supported and nurtured by our highly qualified and experienced team.
Within this caring, family‑focused atmosphere, children develop curiosity, confidence, and independence, gaining the essential skills they need for their next steps in learning.
Our Amazing Enhanced Provision
Our wide curriculum includes Yoga, Gardening, Cooking Club as well as Forest School, Beach School and Farm School.
We are lucky enough to have termly visitors including Zoolab and the local fire brigade. With all our activities, and particularly in our outdoor learning and Forest School, we encourage children to take risks and challenge themselves safely.
We also have on-board a qualified Early Years Teacher in whose capable hands the children have been introduced to and have expanded their knowledge of phonics, language, science and mathematics.
Our very own minibuses
We are fortunate to be able to take our children out on all our special trips in 2 of our very own 8 seater minibuses which are equipped with excellent child seats.
Children from 2-5 absolutely love this extra special journey, whether it is to our Forest School Garden in The Norfolk Showground or to a Museum or Nature Reserve.

Come and see us! We understand that finding the right childcare can be a very emotional decision for any parent or carer, and we are happy to show you around. We are open 51 weeks, 7.30am - 6.00pm of the year. We do have a waiting list and we attribute this to our inspiring provision, but we will do our absolute best to suit your needs.
